While supporting India in the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic, the Indian female runner Dutee Chand distributed food packets to the people of her ancestral village, about 70 km from Bhubaneswar. Dutee went to her village Chaka Gopalpur in Jajpur district of Odisha for this work with special passes from the authorities. Dutee told PTI-language, 'The people of my village are suffering a lot due to this lockdown. I just wanted to help them. So, I took a special pass and distributed food packets to about 1000 people in my village on Friday. 'Anand Mahindra has also praised Dutee's work.

The 24-year-old female runner said, 'I and my family had already told the villagers about my journey. People came to my house and I gave them food packets. By the way, Dutee is studying 'Business Administration' from an institution in Bhubaneswar. He said, 'I plan to go there again and will give food and packets to the people of the village. There are about 5000 people in the village and next time I will go there with 2000 food packets. He said that KIIT's creator and MP Achyuta Samant helped in this task. Dutee said that she spent 50 thousand rupees by herself and it was possible with the help of the rest of the feudal lords.

Dutti has not yet qualified for the Olympics and World Athletics has stopped the qualification process by the end of this year. He said, 'It is not easy but when I see those smiling faces, I feel happy. The elders of the village blessed me for bringing medals to the Olympics. '
