The recent horror assault by Hamas militants on Israeli territory, which tragically resulted in numerous casualties, saw the unfortunate demise of two Israeli female security officers of Indian heritage on October 7. The confirmation of this sorrowful event was provided by official sources and members of the affected community.

The fallen heroes were identified as Lieutenant Or Moses, a 22-year-old commander in the Home Front Command hailing from Ashdod, and Kim Dokraker, a Border Police officer serving in the police's Central District. These brave women succumbed to the assailants from the terrorist organization in the previous month.

According to various online reports, the security officers lost their lives in the line of duty. As the conflict unfolded, it was reported that 286 soldiers and 51 police officers have fallen, according to statements from military authorities. The tally of casualties is anticipated to rise, as Israel continues its painstaking process of confirming the identities of those who have perished. Numerous individuals remain missing or are held hostage by the Hamas group, compounding the tragedy.

In a ray of hope amid the gloom, there is news that Sheeja Anand, a caregiver from Kerala, is now in stable condition. She sustained injuries during a rocket attack on the northern Israeli city of Ashkelon, suffering harm to her hands and leg. Promptly, Anand was whisked away to a nearby medical facility to receive the necessary medical attention.

Since the Hamas incursion on October 7, the ongoing war has exacted a devastating toll, with over 3,600 lives lost. Residents of the Gaza Strip are grappling with the dire need to escape from the northern regions, as Israel has issued warnings of a potential ground assault. Regrettably, the situation shows no immediate signs of de-escalation.
