India's Medal Tally Rises to 10: Mariyappan Wins Silver And Sharad Gets Bronze in High Jump

On Tuesday, the Indian duo of Mariyappan Thangavelu and Shard Kumar brought India's total medal count to ten. In the men's high jump final, Mariyappan won silver and Sharad won bronze.

India’s Singhraj Adhana has clinched a bronze medal in P1 Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 event. However, Manish Narwal only managed a seventh spot finish. Narwal had initially put in a solid performance to win the P1 Men's 10m Air Pistol SH1 qualification round and go to the final.

Singhraj Adhana also qualified for the medal round after finishing sixth. However, the third Indian in the fray, Deepender Singh, didn’t advance after finishing at the 10th spot. Earlier, in the women’s shot put final, Bhagyashri Jadhav finished at the seventh spot with a personal best of 7. On debut, shooter Rubina Francis finished at the seventh spot in P2 Women’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 final.
