NEW DELHI: On Monday, August 15,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the nation's wait for 5G technology is ended and that the advantages of "Digital India" will soon be come up in every town.

On the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,  the Prime Minster Modi addressed the country from the Red Fort and declared that India's "Techade" is here thanks to 5G and a local push for semiconductor and smartphone production.

During his speech from the Red Fort ramparts, Modi said, "We are taking change through 'Digital India' to the grassroots levels and soon, every village will be connected digitally as we herald in the 5G era.

On September 29, at the India Mobile Congress (IMC), the Prime Minister is likely to formally introduce the 5G network.

"We are in a period of transition that occurs in an era, from mobile and semiconductor manufacturing to digital payments. Around us, the digital age is evolving. It has reshaped society, the economy, and politics "He was emphatic.

India is an aspiring culture, whose collective spirit is driving development, said Modi.

In approximately a month, after a successful 5G spectrum auction, the nation is set to see the launch of the eagerly anticipated, high-speed 5G mobile services.
