In Indonesia, the court has refused to send a woman to a mosque with a dog and sent to jail on the basis of mental illness. In July last year, the video of this woman named Sujeth Margaret became quite viral in which she was seen entering the mosque with her dog wearing her shoes. People in Muslim-majority Indonesia became angry about this incident because a large section of the country considers the dog as an unholy animal.

On Wednesday, the Bogor city court near Jakarta convicted the woman on charges of blasphemy but also said that she could not be held responsible for his antics. Sujeth Margaret was a schizophrenia patient since 2013. However, the prosecution demanded that he be sentenced to jail for eight months.

In this viral video in July, a woman is seen saying that she is a Catholic after entering a mosque in Bogor. The woman was saying that her husband was going to get married that day in the mosque. The woman was clearly depressed in the video. The woman accused the mosque of converting her husband when his dog ran to him. The people present in the mosque said that they had no information about the alleged wedding. When a mosque staff asked the woman to leave, the woman hit her with a kick. It is being said that after this incident, the dog died after being hit by a car.
