Indore: Indore city of Madhya Pradesh has topped the cleanliness drive across India four times in a continuous phase. The city of Ahilya has been glorified again. In fact, 56 Dukaan market in the city has been declared as the second 'clean street food hub' in India. Popular Chaat Chaupatis Sarafa and 56 shops in Indore have got the status of Clean Street Food Hub. For this, a team constituted by the food safety and standards authority of India (FSSAI) has come to Indore on 5th August to conduct an audit.

The same team conducted a survey of Sarafa Chowpatty at night while the team has started surveying 56 shops from this morning. Indore has met all these parameters and Indore has achieved another new success. Under these schemes, the FSSAI conducted a survey by the third party through audit scoring marks at different levels of cleanliness, hygiene, purity, proper disposal of waste, and better arrangements.

District administration and food safety officials also said that in January 2019, 56 shops in Indore were given this status by selecting clean street food hubs and Khajrana temples under the Bhog scheme. It is renewed every two years, in which the team audits from the head. Officials said that Sarafa Night Chaupati was audited under the scheme in early 2020 but the results could not be released due to corona infection. After that, the Sarafa Chaupati audit is being conducted again and when the team conducted the audit at night, the team appeared satisfied with the arrangements. However, this was taking some time for the results to come out.
