Following the spike in the number of Covid cases, night curfew has been clamped on Indore summarily with effect on Saturday. The city will remain "BANDH" from 10 pm and 6 pm. However, detailed guidelines about organizing marriages, cultural and religious functions will be released on Saturday following the meeting of Crisis Management Group. Commercial activities and movement of aam aadmi without any purpose will be banned. However, the movement of transport vehicles carrying essential goods and employees engaged in factories will be allowed to travel uninterruptedly.
The District Crisis Management Committee will meet very soon to set guidelines for marriages as the season starts from November 25 following the Dev-Uthani Ekadashi. Singh said there are reports that over 20,000 invitation cards of a marriage function have been distributed in the city. Thus, the restriction may be imposed on number of invites.
