Indo-Tibetial Border Police (ITBP) has got 17 new Energetic and sharp warriors for its k9 team. The mothers Olga and Oleshya has given birth to 17 Malinois pups at the ITBP's elite National Training Centre for Dogs (NTCD) at Bhanu in Panchkula, Haryana. Both Olga and Oleshya belong to the Malinois breed, most famous breed used by the United States in the operation to treat terrorist Osama Bin Laden.
The mothers are ITBP's counter-insurgency grid veterans and currently enjoying motherhood at ITBP K9 Breeding Centre. ITBP in a statement has said, "Olga and Oleshya are both sisters - both are 5 years old and the father too is a serving dog named Gala. Both sisters and the father have tenure in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) hit Chattisgarh where ITBP is deployed". The pups were born on September 30, 2020 and October 4, 2020 to Olga - 9 puppies and Oleshya- 8 pupies respectively.

Oleshya and Olga safeguards the ITBP troops by sanitising Road Opening Party (ROPs) and acts as a deterrent to ambushes. They have saved numerous lives in various operations by detecting IEDs. The father loyally escorted the ADP troops and never failed. It has taken part in the he anti-sabotage duty at the inauguration of Atal Tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. Pups with robust bloodline imbibing fearless capacity from mothers will be trained for anti-terror and anti-naxal operations. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Vet) Sudhakar Natarajan informed ITBP has received requests from other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) for these pups to be used for their security duties. As directed by Ministry of Home affairs, ITBP is giving malinois breed to other security forces in recent years.
