Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK), popularly known as Captain Cool, won the IPL 2023 title. Famous commentator Harsh Bhogle questioned Dhoni about his future plans after the final match. Finally, Dhoni made his stand clear about the IPL. After winning the 5th IPL trophy, Dhoni said that he will play another season. 

 

Mahi said that he wants to play at least one more season for his fans. During the prize distribution ceremony after the final match, Dhoni gave information about his planning. "Although it is the ideal time for me to announce my retirement, I would like to thank everyone for the kind of love I have received this season. It's easy for me to say thank you very much, but the difficult thing is to work hard for another 9 months... I want to play another season, but a lot will depend on my body as well."

Talking to Harsh Bhogle, Dhoni said that he still has 6 to 7 months time. Dhoni was very impressed with the support of the fans. Dhoni said that this is the last phase of his career. "This is the last phase of my IPL career and it makes me emotional. I think that's where it all started when I played the first match of this season here. The entire stadium was shouting my name when I entered the field."
