Lucknow: Unnao's famous Kuldeep Singh Sengar misdemeanour case has marked a turning point. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has blamed the then top officials of the district in this case. The CBI has convicted IAS Aditi Singh, IPS Pushpanjali Singh and Neha Pandey for negligence in the case.

The CBI has recommended departmental action against these officers in this case. Aditi Singh, a 2009 batch IAS officer, was posted in Unnao from 24 January 2017 to 26 October 2017, and during this time, the rape victim complained many times, but she was ignored. Aditi is currently the District Magistrate of Hapur. Pushpanjali Singh, a 2006 batch IPS officer, was also the SP of Unnao.

It is alleged that they have not heard the complaint of the victim, but when the victim's father was beaten and later died on the instigation of Kuldeep Singh Sengar, he has tried to suppress the case. Negligence in the investigation also. Pushpanjali is currently SP in Gorakhpur railway. Neha Pandey, a 2009 batch IPS, has also been SP in Unnao. They are also accused of negligence.
