All general and health insurance companies will inevitably have to offer this standard covid Health Policy to their customers. Insurance companies can decide the premium of a standard health policy keeping in mind the cover given. Under the standard health policy related to Kovid, companies will be able to provide indemnity cover under the base cover. At the same time, optional cover will be made available on the basis of benefits.

For your information, let us tell you that under the Indemnity cover, the expenses of the policyholder's hospitalization are borne by the insurance company. At the same time, no matter what the expenses are in the benefit plan, a certain amount is paid by the company. Under the Corona virus-linked standard health policy, companies can offer policies of three and a half months, six and a half months and nine and a half months, including a waiting period.

According to the guidelines of IRDAI, if these health policies related to covid-19 are confirmed by the government-authorized investigation center, if a person is infected with coronavirus, then they will get cover for all medical facilities. The same, these include room, boarding, nursing expenses, surgeon, medical practitioner's fees. Apart from this, insurance cover is also provided on the expenses on anesthesia, blood, oxygen, operation theater charges, expenses of surgical appeals, charge of ventilators, drug prices, PPE kits, gloves and masks. Apart from this, expenses up to Rs 2,000 on ambulance will also be covered in it.
