Leo Varadkar has been tweeted by Andrea Brannigan, the mother of Irish-born British citizen Daniel McLaughlin (28), regarding the matter. Daniel was assassinated in 2017 after being raped in Goa. A local youth Vikat Bhagat was arrested in this case. Andrea wrote in his tweet, 'While celebrating New Year in Goa, the Prime Minister of Ireland should also talk about the rape and murder case of Irish citizen Daniel McLaughlin. Despite the fast track, why is the case hearing so slow? If he does not do anything about it then it is very shameful.'
