Bangalore: Controversy over wearing hijab in classes in Karnataka is not taking its name to stop even after the High Court order. At the same time, there has been a threat to behead BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna and Shri Ram Sena President Pramod Muthalik on the social media platform, Instagram. A complaint has been lodged in Udipi regarding this matter. According to media reports, the statement of BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna, who is also a member of the college administration, has come to the fore.

He has said that, 'It is normal to receive such messages and threatening calls through social media in public life. When we work for the nation, anti-national organizations or anti-nationals sitting abroad keep making such threats. I won't take it seriously. It is a part of life. We are doing our work by staying within the ambit of the constitution. An Instagram post regarding me and Pramod Muthalik doesn't matter. We will not take our steps back. He further said, 'I am not worried about the Instagram post, but, I want to know who are the local people behind this issue? we will figure it out.'

It is noteworthy that 23 girl students studying in a college in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka have been banned for a period of 7 days for insisting on wearing hijab and entering classes. The decision was taken by the authorities of Uppinangadi Degree College in Puttur taluk after girl students insisted on wearing hijab to enter classes. Let us tell you that, there is a clear order of the Karnataka High Court that, wearing of any kind of religious dress is not allowed in educational institutions, but even after this, girls are insisting on hijab under the guise of fanatics. At the same time, fundamentalists are threatening to behead those who oppose it, the same threat was also given to the Karnataka High Court judge who ordered the hijab.
