Jerusalem: Thousands of people protested outside PM Benjamin Netanyahu's official residence on Saturday night after emergency sanctions to control the Corona epidemic in Israel were lifted.  Thus once again the weekly performance started. Last month, new sanctions were imposed in Israel to control the epidemic, after which protests subsided.

Emergency rules allowed a large number of people not to reach Jerusalem for demonstration, allowing people to take part in a small number of demonstrations within a kilometre of the house. Protesters gathered in central Jerusalem, then reached Netanyahu's official residence with placards in their hands. In the meantime, he was shouting slogans in support of the "revolution" demanding Netanyahu quit.

Organizers of the protest said that 260,000 people had arrived across the country. Protesters said Netanyahu should resign from office. He said the PM is facing corruption charges and is not fit to lead the country in the meantime. The protesters also accused Netanyahu of not properly tackling the epidemic and causing unemployment to rise. Netanyahu is accused of fraud.
