The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to kick off a special learning opportunity called the "Young Scientist Programme" (YUVIKA) tailored for school kids.

Aims of YUVIKA Programme
This program aims to introduce students to the basics of space science, technology, and applications, focusing on the latest trends in the field. ISRO's goal is to engage young minds early in space science, recognizing them as future leaders of the nation.

YUVIKA program is crafted to inspire more students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by providing them with a solid understanding of space-related concepts. It especially targets students in rural areas to spread awareness about the latest advancements in science and technology among school students.

Previous YUVIKA Program Success
YUVIKA program has achieved significant success since its inception, attracting students from all states and union territories. It comprises classroom lectures, hands-on experiments, robotics challenges, and interactions with ISRO scientists and has been conducted in 2019, 2022, and 2023.

Enrollment Details and Eligibility Criteria for YUVIKA-2024
Registration for YUVIKA-2024 is open from February 20 to March 20, 2024. Students currently in Class 9 as of January 1, 2024, are eligible. The registration process involves multiple steps, including registration on the ISRO Antariksha Jigyasa Platform, email verification, participation in a SpaceQuiz, and submission of personal and educational details. Applicants are advised to double-check their application before submission, as no changes can be made later.

How to Apply?

  • Step 1: Register on ISRO Antariksha Jigyasa Platform: Link
  • Step 2: Verify your email by clicking the verification link sent after registration.
  • Step 3: Participate in SpaceQuiz after reading the guidelines.
  • Step 4: Fill in personal profile and education details.
  • Step 5: Photocopy certificates, get them attested by the Principal/Head of School, and upload them on the website.
  • Step 6: Generate a certificate for verification by your Principal/Head of School/Parent/Guardian to avoid cancellation due to mismatch.
  • Step 7: Scan and upload your documents and submit the application.
