Samastipur: There has been an uproar in Bihar over the instructions issued by the administration regarding Saraswati Puja to be held in the next few days. A ban has been imposed on Saraswati Puja at the BP Mandal engineering college campus in Madhepura. Students have been enraged by this decision. At Samastipur, the collector has threatened to file an FIR if the loudspeakers are used.

Samastipur Collector Yogesh Singh and SP Vinay Tiwari took the decision after reviewing the law and order situation. The SP said that due to worship, there will be a complete ban on playing DJ. An FIR will be lodged against the DJ organizers as well as the sound system owner and will be sent to jail. The district administration has directed all the police stations to identify and monitor the puja pandals, all sensitive places, and places where the idol immersion takes place. At the same time, action under Section 107 and bonds have also been ordered to be issued against possible individuals who create disturbance during worship.

On the other hand, students of BP Mandal Engineering College campus in Madhepura are angry with the ban on Saraswati Puja. Saraswati Puja is on January 26, 2023. As soon as the college principal received the news, he issued a written order and put an immediate ban on it. The order issued by the principal states that if anyone organizes Saraswati Puja without such permission, legal action will be taken against him as per the rules. Students say that an application was made to principal Arvind Kumar Amar to organize Saraswati Puja, but the principal did not give permission to install the statue. At the same time, the principal says that the students had sought permission to perform Saraswati Puja in the college many times, but everyone was asked to worship in all three hostels by putting a big photo. The students refused to put up the photo and started creating a ruckus. The university administration clearly says that whoever wants to do Saraswati Puja should do it in their respective rooms. There is a possibility of increasing disputes with the people around worshiping in public. In view of this, permission is not being given. Many people say that no one speaks anything when the loudspeaker is played in the mosque and if we are playing the loudspeaker on Saraswati Puja, then the threat of FIR is unfair.
