VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh  Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasised the need for the Gadapa Gadapaku programme to run for 16 days each month and threatened 27 "poorly performing" MLAs with losing their party tickets if they didn't step up their game.

Nine of the party's regional coordinators received another harsh dosage from the chief minister, who again expressed displeasure with their performance and gave them instructions to improve. The head of the YSRC implied that party candidates will be selected six months before the elections and declared that he would not hesitate to replace underperformers with better ones.

In a meeting conducted at the CM Camp office in Tadepalli, the CM evaluated the accomplishments of MLAs and cabinet ministers as a part of the mass engagement Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam.

Speaking to party MLAs and coordinators, he said there are no shortcuts and that every leader should connect with the public for at least 16 days each month to inform them of the government's welfare initiatives.

I don't want to read out the names of the 27 MLAs who were found to be less active and not taking part in the party's door-to-door efforts, Jagan said. I reiterate to Hit 175 of 175 targets. There should be no empty seats. I have provided you with a solid strategy in the shape of Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam to help you accomplish this aim. It's not inconceivable for YSRC to fill 175 of the available seats.

"Winning all 175 seats is not hard because 85% of the households contain beneficiaries of our welfare initiatives, and we have fulfilled 98.4% of our commitments by disbursing Rs. 1.71 lakh crore. All the homes need to be contacted. You should address the issues of the locals when you visit the secretariats in the villages. The secretariats for the village and ward are authorised with funds.

"The next election is 19 months away. Since politics is the field we have selected, we must adhere to the action plan. In the first week of December, the subsequent evaluation will take place. CM Jagan mentioned rumours that some MLAs were sending their sons to the event and stated it wasn't appropriate at this time to send sons and other family members to the houses. MLAs must personally meet with individuals. It is possible to use sons and family members during political campaigns.

The chief minister emphasised that the Rs 20 lakh each secretariat would receive should be used for items that would benefit the village. Then let me tell you," Jagan responded. There are no short routes to passing the exam while taking it. I am attempting to improve your performance because I want to re-field each of you in the elections. Six months before the elections,  Only if you put on a strong performance will I offer you more tickets. In the first two weeks of December, let's get together again. There are 70 days left. that's 16 days each month. In every secretariat, every house needs to be inspected. Bring the lunchbox along. At least three days should be spent in each Secretariat.

Jagan complained that the party's nine regional coordinators had fallen short of his expectations in their performance. Senior executives, regional coordinators ought to perform better, he said.
