Srinagar: The Indian Army is engaged in the elimination of terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Army Jawans are sending terrorists to their right place. Now, the army has piled up JeM commander terrorist Sajjad Afghani in a major attack on the designs of terrorists. A total of two terrorists have been killed in the encounter in Shopian from the security forces.

The encounter in the Rawalapora area of Shopian started on March 13. One terrorist was killed during the operation, after which the other terrorist was also eliminated. IGP Kashmir has congratulated the Shopian police and security forces for eliminating JM commander terrorist Sajjad Afghani in the encounter. In the meantime, security forces recovered an AK 47 rifle and a USA rifle M-4 carbine along with a UBL shell from the encounter site. Both of them who died in the encounter were from Jaish-e-Mohammad. The slain commander Sajjad Afghani was involved in the recruitment of new youths.

After intelligence inputs about the hiding of the terrorist, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation on Saturday night at Ravalpora village in Shopian district. In the meantime, as soon as the Jawans were sealing the areas, the militants started firing indiscriminately, which the army then piled up two terrorists with a befitting reply.
