Srinagar: An encounter between security forces and militants continues from Saturday morning in Anantnag and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, security forces have killed four terrorists. The campaign is going on in both places. Firing between security forces and militants began during a search operation by laying siege to Nipora area of Kulgam district. Two terrorists were killed in the encounter.

According to the information, inputs was received by the security forces that, three terrorists are hiding in Kipalam's Nipora. After which the Indian Army personnel along with the Kashmir Police conducted a search operation in the area. During this, the firing was done on behalf of the terrorists. The soldiers also retaliated. The security forces killed two terrorists in a long-lasting encounter. Another terrorist is surrounded.

In Lallan area of Anantnag district, two terrorists associated with the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen have been killed in the joint operation of the security forces. Two pistols, three grenades and other ammunition have also been recovered from his possession. The Army Road Opening Party (ROP) on Bandipora-Srinagar Road in Jammu and Kashmir has found suspicious items. The Joint Bomb Disposal Squad is under investigation.
