Srinagar: Grand Mufti Nasirul Islam has said in Jammu and Kashmir that prayers will not be performed tomorrow i.e. on 27 March. He has urged people to say that they should offer namaz by staying in their house on Friday. He said that this is for our safety and Islam also allows it.

Nasirul Islam, in his statement on Thursday, has also requested people to implement it. He said that Kashmir is moving towards a health disaster. Therefore, Friday prayers should not be performed in any religious place and mosques in Kashmir tomorrow. We are facing a disaster and we have to stop it. The Mufti has requested the Imams and Khatibs of all mosques not to hold Friday prayers.
