J&K: One militant killed in Avantipora encounter, jawan injured

Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, militants are continuing their crackdown. Security forces have gunned down a terrorist in an ongoing encounter in Avantipora. The CRPF team has been attacked by militants on Thursday morning after the killing of BDC chairman in Budgam. One Jawan has been injured. The injured Jawan has been taken to hospital for treatment. The search operation is continuing by evacuating the area.

An encounter between militants and security forces began on Thursday morning in Maghma area of Tral in Avantipora. The Kashmir zone police informed that the security forces have been very successful. A terrorist has been piled up. Police and security forces are on the spot. Tell us that in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, militants had killed a BDC member outside the house on Wednesday. The BDC member returned home several days later. He was living in Srinagar amidst security these days.

A police official informed that bdc chairman Bhupinder Singh of Khag section of Budgam district was shot dead by militants in his native village Dalwash at around 8 pm. He died on the spot. The police official said two security personnel were deployed in the security of Singh.
