Jammu and Kashmir:  Jammu & Kashmir government on Friday, October 7, accorded sanction to the implementation of uniform academic calendar in the union territory, thereby the exams of 1-9 standards would be conducted in March now.

"Further to Government Order No. 2074-JK (Edu) of 2022 dated 31st August 2022, the sanction is hereby accorded to the implementation of Uniform Academic Calendar including conducting of annual examinations in March-April session for classes up to the ninth standard in all the Government and Government recognized Private Schools of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, read a government order. It further reads, that  new admissions shall commence from the month of March of the calendar year."

Sanction is accorded to the implementation of the uniform academic calendar including the conduct of annual examinations in March-April session for classes up to 9th standard in all the Government and the Government has clearly declared. The department also decreed that fresh admissions will begin in March of the following year.
