New Delhi: Indian cricket pacer Jasprit Bumrah has praised young bowler Kartik Tyagi. Bumrah has termed the performance of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowler as extraordinary. South Africa's star pacer Dale Steyn has also called Kartik Tyagi's over the best.

It may be recalled that Tyagi had reversed the course of the match with his accurate bowling in the final over. Punjab Kings (PBKS) needed just four runs in the final over with eight wickets left. But Tyagi sent Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda to the pavilion in the last over and gave just one run. Bumrah tweeted on the brilliant performance, 'What an over, Kartik Tyagi! To complete your work with a calm mind under such pressure, excellent, very impressive!'

Meanwhile, Dale Steyn tweeted, 'Close to the best over ever while defending the target! Wowza.' 20-year-old Kartik Tyagi said in a post-match press conference, 'I was injured during the first leg of IPL in India. When I recovered, however, the league was declared postponed, which saddened me immensely. I feel great now. I have been talking to my senior players for years and they keep telling me that things keep changing in this format. So I need to trust myself.' Sehwag tweeted, 'Wow! Defending 4 runs in the final over, gave only 1 run. Kartik Tyagi brilliant. Punjab can only blame itself.'
