New Delhi: On Wednesday, The Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headed by Masood Azhar, has accepted the killing of their chief's nephew Mohammed Umar, who was deployed as a militant commander in the Indian territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It is to be noted that to pay final tribute a namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) in absence was held for Umar, reports said on Wednesday. However, it is worth mention here that the Jaish has issued an announcement confirming the demise of Umar, one of their senior insurgent leaders deployed in conflict-ridden Valley, learnt revealed in media. The deceased's father and Azhar's brother-in-law has been identified as Ibrahim Azhar. It is a great achievement for Indian Army, as Umar was also a part in CRPF Pulwama attack conspirator and it called as the back bone of Masood Azhar to excute and train the terrorist.

Here it is to be noted that Umar was reportedly killed in the massive crackdown launched by the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police following the Pulwama attack on February 14. The terror strike on a CRPF convoy in Awantipora had left over 40 security personnel dead. The suicide bomber was identified as a local Kashmiri youth, Adil Ahmed Dar, who was affiliated with the Jaish. To be noted that following the attack, the Indian forces carried out an air raid in Balakot, where the largest JeM camp was targeted.
