Ranchi: A shocking incident has come to light from Jharkhand where a woman beat a young child so brutally that child died. The beating was also done on the basis of only one suspicion and the child died on sight. The case is of Lohardaga in Jharkhand where a woman beat up the child only because child sat in her field and ate watermelon.
According to the information received, 12-year-old Dharmchand Uraon had gone to graze a goat in the field with some children. There, Dharmchand had paid money from the father-in-law of the criminal woman and bought watermelons. The children were eating the watermelon in the field. Now, while he was eating watermelons, the criminal woman reached there and thrashed the child with a stick on suspicion.
The family of the same deceased claims that their son suffered internal injuries due to the beating. His son's health deteriorated in the evening and he fainted. He was then admitted to a private hospital. The condition of the child then deteriorated after which he was advised to take him to RIMS. But this could not happen due to commuting problems and the child succumbed to his injuries on May 18. Now, after the family's complaint, the police have taken the criminal woman Sangeeta Oraon into custody and seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
