Ranchi: The government has announced holidays for schools in the state Jharkhand due to the increasing cold wave. Announcing the winter vacation in schools, the administration said that keeping in mind the problems caused due to increasing cold and fog, there will be a holiday for children from class 1 to 5 in schools of the state.
Schools will remain closed till January 8 for winter vacation. The state education minister informed that students of senior classes will have to go to school according to their fixed timetable till further orders are issued. At present, winter vacation has been announced only for up to 5th grade.
Apart from Jharkhand, many other states have also declared winter holidays for schools due to severe cold waves and dense fog. In view of the falling temperature in Uttar Pradesh, schools in Lucknow and Mainpuri have been closed till January 07, 2023. Apart from this, schools in Punjab have also been closed till 08 January 2023 due to the cold wave. Similarly, schools in Rajasthan have also been closed due to winter vacation till 05 January 2023. Similarly, school timings have been changed in many states.
