Ratlam: A tribal man in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district was sentenced to two years in jail for gang-rape. Now the court has released him. The victim said that even after being innocent, he had to undergo severe punishment. Due to this, he had to face a lot of humiliation in society and his wife and children came on the road. Now the victim has filed a claim of more than Rs 10,000 crore in the district court for compensation. The matter will come up for a hearing on January 10.

The victim, Kantilal Singh alias Kantu, said he was not educated. The police had implicated him in a false case of gang rape. It's been 5 years since I was upset. For three years, the police harassed me. Despite being innocent, he had to suffer jail torture for 2 years. Due to this, his family came on the road and they remain hungry for food and drink. Because he was the only sole earner in the family. After coming out of jail, he is not able to arrange food and drink for the children.

Kantu said that he wants to create awareness in society about such matters. The police should investigate such cases seriously. If a woman implicates someone in a false case, strict action should also be taken against her. Advocate Vijay Singh Yadav, on behalf of Kantu, has filed a compensation claim of more than Rs 10k crores against the state government and police officers in the District and Sessions Court. Advocate Vijay Singh Yadav said that no value of human life can be fixed. Kantu's life was ruined due to the police and the state government. He had to undergo jail torture for two years even after being innocent. Kantu has an aged mother Meera, a wife Leela, and three children in his family.
