Jammu and Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has laid the foundation for a number of state-of-the-art health infrastructure projects around the state, including GMCs, DHs, CHCs, and PHCs.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday between Tata Memorial Hospital and Government Medical College Jammu in the presence of the Lieutenant Governor for technical expertise and academic support in the development of updated cancer treatment facilities.

Sinha announced a social security system for National Health Mission staff, as well as ex-gratia checks worth Rs 10 lakhs to the NoKs of deceased NHM employeesHe said, the improved facilities would help to enhance the healthcare system even further. He stated that the J&K government is dedicated to the aim of universal health care. "We are committed to ensuring that the new health facilities in various districts promote social equality and that the advantages of these facilities reach our brothers and sisters in remote places."

"The Memorandum of Understanding with Tata Memorial Hospital for academic and technical collaboration will aid in the development of ultra-modern tertiary cancer care facilities, technical expertise to faculty and paramedical staff, and integration of the State Cancer Institute into the National Cancer Grid, Tata Memorial Centre."
