England's injured fast bowlerJofra Archer is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right hand on Monday. Before coming on a tour of India in January, he suffered an injury to his right-hand elbow. With this injury, he played 2 matches of the Test series and all 5 matches of the T20 series against India. Meanwhile, the medical team of the ECB was engaged in monitoring his injury. But his trouble was increased between the T20 series. After which he was not included in the team of the one-day series and he returned to England after the T20 series ended.

On Saturday, the England and Wales Cricket Board issued a statement regarding Archer's injury, saying that after returning to the UK on Tuesday, the fast bowler underwent a scan to review the injury on his right arm elbow. After the test, doctors advised him for surgery. There was a pain in his elbow. They were also given injections to reduce it. According to the ECB, surgery was a better option for prolonging the injury. He was ruled out of the ODI series against India due to this injury.

Archer has played 42 matches for England. This 25-year-old fast bowler from Barbados has played 42 matches for England in all three formats. In this, he has taken a total of 86 wickets. Jofra Archer has played in the T20 League IPL in 3 seasons. Last season, he took 20 wickets in 14 matches. Apart from this, he took 11 wickets in 2019 and 15 wickets in 2018. In such a league, he has always proved himself.
