On Saturday, the England and Wales Cricket Board issued a statement regarding Archer's injury, saying that after returning to the UK on Tuesday, the fast bowler underwent a scan to review the injury on his right arm elbow. After the test, doctors advised him for surgery. There was a pain in his elbow. They were also given injections to reduce it. According to the ECB, surgery was a better option for prolonging the injury. He was ruled out of the ODI series against India due to this injury.
Archer has played 42 matches for England. This 25-year-old fast bowler from Barbados has played 42 matches for England in all three formats. In this, he has taken a total of 86 wickets. Jofra Archer has played in the T20 League IPL in 3 seasons. Last season, he took 20 wickets in 14 matches. Apart from this, he took 11 wickets in 2019 and 15 wickets in 2018.
