John Abraham is one of the most successful models and successful actors in Bollywood. He has worked in some major hit Bollywood films. The Dhoom actor is celebrating his Birthday today. On his Birthday let us have a look on his interesting journey.

John was born and grew up in a middle-class family. His father Abraham John is a Syrian Christian from Aluva, Kerala, India and his mother Firoza Irani is a Zoroastrian Parsi from India's Parsi community. His father is an architect and his mother is a homemaker. John Abraham worked for an ad agency and modeled with it. John Abraham's salary while working in an ad agency was Rs 13,800. Because of his Body he became extremely popular in modeling world.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was looking for a new face for his film Jism who would be like Sanjay Dutt. One day while modeling, Mahesh Bhatt met John Abraham. He told the actor that he needed an actor like Sanjay Dutt.  Mahesh Bhatt, John Abraham had agreed to do the film Jism. This film came in the year 2003. Bipasha Basu was in the lead role with him in this film. After this John has worked in various hit films.

 John Abraham is regarded as one of the most handsome hunk in Bollywood and he enjoyed a massive fan following but there was a time when he hated his face. Once in an interview he said, “Honestly, before I got a clear face, I got the pimples. There were lots of them and I am telling you, you lose that self-confidence when you have those little things on your face. I didn’t have those little things, I had big things all over my face.”

He further stated , “There were times when I would get up crying and just pray to God saying, ‘Why have you given me a face like this? Just take it away, just do some magic.’ And I was also one of the shortest guys in my class and friends. So I would say, ‘God, just make me taller please.’ And he listened…I am 6ft 1inch tall right now and I am happy.”
