India's top women's squash player Joshna Chinappa has gained greatly in the world rankings. She has again moved up to the top 10 in the PSA World Women's Rankings. Joshna, 35, first reached a career-best 10th position in 2016 and has now once again managed to make it to the top players of the game.
Talking about the men's rankings, India's top men's player Sourav Ghoshal has lost one place and has now rolled to 16th position. This year is a very important year for Indian squash players due to the celebration of the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Pallikal and Chinappa had created history by winning gold medals in the women's doubles at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games (2014). They are projected to re-pair for the Commonwealth Games (Birmingham, Uk) and the Asian Games (Hangzhou, China) later this year.
Deepika Pallikal, who has been ranked top 10 in the past, is expected to return to the game soon. She became a mother of twins last October.
