HYDERABAD: The BJP is planning to organise a massive public meeting in Telangana's Warangal on August 26 to mark the culmination of 3rd-phase of 'Praja Sangrama Yatra' to be undertaken by the party's state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Manohar Reddy, the BJP's state vice-president, said on Thursday that top leaders had been tasked with mobilising people for the public meeting.

The saffron party hopes to mobilise two lakh people for the large public meeting, which will be addressed by J.P. Nadda, the party's national president.

On August 2, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will address a public assembly in Yadadri to kick off the third phase of the padyatra.

The party intends to offer one lakh participants at this conference. The yatra will begin on August 2 at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri and end on August 26 at the Sri Bhadrakali temple in Hanamkonda.
The yatra would cover 325 kilometres and will pass through five districts: Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Hamankonda, and Warangal. Sanjay would engage with people and hold meetings in three Parliamentary and a dozen Assembly constituencies across five districts, according to BJP sources. Union Ministers and BJP Central leaders will take part in the padyatra at various locations.

Sanjay is set to speak at 15 different locations. He would visit important places like the villages of Chakali Ilamma, Konda Laxman Bapuji, Telangana martyr Srikanth Chary, and Sardar Papaiah Goud's Killa Shapur.

On April 14, Sanjay finished the second phase of the yatra, which began at the Jogulamba Shakti Peetam shrine in Alampur, Gadwal. In August 2021, he began the first step of the yatra at the Sri Bhagya Lakshmi shrine in Charminar. Throughout the two rounds, he visited with thousands of people and listened to their complaints.

The BJP representative stated that they brought people's issues to the attention of the TRS government and took to the streets to find solutions.

Earlier, on May 13, Union Home Minister Amit Shah  had addressed the second phase's final meeting in Tukkuguda, near Hyderabad.
