The rapper wants to officially change it to 'Ye' which also happens to be his name on his social media handles.

The Los Angeles Superior Court filing says the 44-year-old rapper wants to get rid of his full name to his longtime two-letter nickname, Ye. The petition says that with no middle name or last name hew only wants to get recognized as Ye. West, who has called himself Ye on his social media pages for years, tweeted that he wanted the change in 2018, saying, “the being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.” He cites “personal reasons” for the change. However, for Kanye to become 'Ye', the rapper will need a California judge to sign off in order to make it official. Kanye's the full name as per legal documents has been Kanye Omari West. Previously, the rapper is known as 'Ye' on both Twitter and Instagram handles.
