It was recently revealed that Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri would be appearing in Karan Johar's Dharma Productions movie Dhadak 2. The director has already explained on his Instagram story that no such movie is being made by his production company. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter appeared in the original, which was Janhvi's debut feature.

For the record and for the benefit of everyone, Dharma Productions is NOT producing a movie with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in several papers, according to Karan's Instagram story. The director of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani did not, however, deny working on a movie with Tripti and Siddhant.

In order to turn Dhadak into a franchise, Karan was prepared. According to a source cited in the article, "Dhadak was fundamentally an intense love story, with two characters defying society to live together. The director thinks this theme of fighting against all odds for love has the potential to become a franchise. After considering a number of ideas, the director has chosen one that is appropriate for a Dhadak sequel.

According to the newspaper, Siddhant and Tripti were thrilled to take part in the "raw and emotional love narrative," which will be helmed by Shazia Iqbal, a debut filmmaker. It's unclear whether Dhadak 2 is being made by a different production company or not at all.

Recently, Dharma Studios has made headlines for abandoning the Brahmastra trilogy by Ayan Mukerji. Speaking of Karan Johar, he is making a comeback with his film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan and stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
