Karan is well-known in the entertainment world and has long participated in TV productions. The actor became well-known after playing the character of Naitik Singhania in the popular daily serial "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai." He co-starred with Hina Khan, and their fan base loved the two of them. Huge acclaim was bestowed to Karan for his portrayal of a straightforward, sympathetic, and loving husband. On September 10, the actor received a call commemorating turning 40. In a recent post, he provided a few glimpses of the wonderful celebrations.

On social media, Karan Mehra posted a picture of his family, including his mother, father, and brother, celebrating his birthday. Since he is with his ex-wife Nisha Rawal, he was unable to have the holiday with his son. As he cut the cake and served it to his family, Karan had shared joyful images with them. The nice caption he added to his post said, "Life is a book, and the chapters of your forties are when everything starts to make sense." Greetings on my 40th birthday! My family is the center of my world, the source of my love, my pillars, and all I believe in. On the professional front, Karan made appearances in TV shows including Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan, Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye Shriman vs. Shrimati, and Bigg Boss 10. Additionally, he appeared in the song "Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra" by Rochak Kohli and Jubin Nautiyal. Regarding his acting career, Karan took part in the film Love Story 2050.
