New Delhi: Kargil Vijay Day is being celebrated on 26th July for 20 years. Speaking on the occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind said, "On Kargil Vijay Diwas, a grateful nation acknowledges the gallantry of our Armed Forces on the heights of Kargil in 1999. On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi shared some pictures of the Kargil war and wrote that in 1999 I had the opportunity to go there. At that time, I used to do party work in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. It is an incredible experience to go to Kargil at that time and talk with the jawans there. All preparations have been made for the event at Dras in Kashmir on the occasion of Kargil Day. President Ram Nath Kovind and chief sits of the three services to attend the event.
