Bangalore: In view of the increasing crime against women in the country, the Gadak Police of Karnataka has started a unique initiative. The police here is working to leave the women at night. Police is doing this work absolutely free. Between 10 am and 6 am, the police has decided to take the women safely to their home.

On this matter, Gadag Superintendent of Police Srinath Joshi has told the media that, 'Women can call any police station or toll free helpline number. The police will make them sit there and deliver them to their designated place. ' This decision of the police has come at a time when four people along with a female vet in Hyderabad carried out the gangrape. In Unnao, the rape victim was burnt alive by the accused. He died during treatment.

At the same time, after the death of the rape victim of Unnao of UP, the Bareilly administration has started an initiative to protect women. For helpline girls and women, the administration has issued a helpline number. Distressed women and girls can complain at any time by calling 7035004602. Action will be taken immediately on the upcoming complaint.
