Belagavi: Amit Shah, the union home minister, organised a massive roadshow in the Belagavi South seat on Sunday, just days before voting in the Karnataka Assembly elections.

Amit Shah's vehicle was flanked by a sizable group of BJP supporters who also escorted the procession. The people waiting for him in queue on each side of the road waved and said hello to Shah.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi did a massive roadshow earlier today in the city, waving to a sizable, jubilant audience that was queued up on both sides of the road.

PM Modi hailed the audience, which had gathered on nearby buildings and on both sides of the highways, while standing atop a car decorated with flowers and raising passionate cries of "Modi, Modi."

The Kempegowda statue on New Tippasandra Road served as the starting point of the PM's roadshow, which ended at Trinity Circle.

On the final leg of the campaign for the single-phased elections on May 10, a roadshow that is about 10 kilometres long and taking place in Bengaluru for the second straight day are anticipated to improve the BJP's poll prospects.

Drums were among the musical instruments that the large audience playing as they lined the streets to see PM Modi.
Karnataka is in the midst of a flurry of demonstrations, meetings with the general public, and other contacts in preparation for the 10 May elections. 

The voting in Karnataka will take place on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13.
