Srinagar: On Saturday, pellet guns were fired by the security on the protestors, and in the incident, a 12 year old boy was killed last evening, which sparked the anger in the city, and the curfew has been imposed.

Victim Junaid Ahmad, a resident of Saidpora in downtown Srinagar, suffered with serious injuries after being hit by a rain of pellets outside his home.

According to police official, “security forces fired pellet guns after clashes in the area. Junaid, however, was not part of the protests”.

"He was standing at the main gate of his home in the Saidpora area in downtown area of city when he was hit by a volley of pellets," official added.

After that Junaid was rushed to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences where he died. The boy was severely injured as several pellets strike his head and chest.

Lots of people walked on the streets in dissent against the death of 12-year-old, and also shouted slogans against the government.
