Strict decision of the Kerala government, those returning to the state will have to wear PPE kits

In the Corona era, the Kerala government was already facing criticism for mandating an investigation into the corona infection before residents of the state desirous of returning from a flight were to board a flight. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also made it mandatory for people returning from abroad to the state to wear a Personal Protective Equipment Kit (PPE Kit) after a weekly meeting. This means that if someone comes to Kerala from abroad, he should have corona test report in his hand and PPE kit on his body.

In the midst of the virus outbreak, Pinarayi Vijayan had earlier mandated the health certificate for residents returning from abroad from June 20, but the deadline was later extended to June 25. Now this rule will be applicable in Kerala from tomorrow. According to sources, Vijayan has now insisted that it will be the responsibility of the airlines to ensure that all the passengers arriving are wearing PPE kits.

For your information, let us tell you that former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has also welcomed the decision of Vijayan's PPE kit. He said, 'See, our only demand is that any decision taken by the state government should be practical. It was impractical to insist on a health certificate. How is this possible for the people of our country, when many countries of the Middle East do not have corona testing facilities? As far as the PPE kit is concerned, we urge the Government of Kerala to provide complete security to the passengers. At the same, Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said that it is very unfortunate that a person like Vijayan has no understanding of what he is doing. In this way 'strange' ideas are being introduced, which they have to change themselves later. We oppose the inevitability of PPE kits. Please tell that from May 7, 80,000 Kerala natives have returned to the state from abroad. About four lakh people have registered to return to the state on the state-owned Norka-Roots website.
