Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his condolences on the untimely death of well-known Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, often known as KK, on Wednesday.
KK, a multilingual singer who recorded songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali, among other languages, died on Tuesday evening at the age of 53 after a concert in south Kolkata.
"Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as #KK, was a multi-talented vocalist who captivated us with his distinct voice. Vijayan tweeted, "I'm heartbroken at the news of his untimely death."
"Born in Malayali, #KK's untimely death is a big loss to Indian music. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and fans. The Chief Minister used the hashtag #RIPKK on Twitter.
KK's death was also mourned by K S Chitra, a well-known singer."Deeply heartbroken to learn of the untimely passing of acclaimed playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, well known by his stage name KK. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. In a Facebook post, she stated, "May his soul rest in peace."
