Kochi: Air India flight from Dubai to Kerala has been hit by an accident near Kozhikode International Airport (Karipur Airport). According to the information, the aircraft fell into the valley after slipping from the runway and met with an accident. The pilot flying embraced death. A total of 191 people on board the plane. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a detailed inquiry order in the matter.

Teams have reached the spot for relief and rescue after the accident. The fire brigade and ambulance were present on the spot. According to the information, the flight number of this flight is IX1344. The plane left Dubai at 4.45 pm. A total of six crew members including 184 passengers and two pilots were on board the plane. The pilot of the plane has died tragically in the accident.

According to the information, at 7.41 pm in the evening, the plane slipped off the runway while landing and fell into the valley. At present, no confirmed information has been received regarding the number of injured and dead. According to reports, there was waterlogging on the runway due to heavy rains, that is why the plane overtook the runway and fell into a trench about 30 feet deep. The plane is severely shattered and has two parts.
