Kerala government impose complete lockdown as corona cases escalate

Thiruvananthapuram: Many state governments have imposed a lockdown amid fast-growing corona infection cases in India. The roads in Thiruvananthapuram looked deserted on Saturday as the city witnessed a complete lockdown due to corona epidemic. On Sunday, the Thiruvananthapuram District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has ordered a lockdown in view of the increasing data of corona infection cases in the area. The district will remain tightly closed till the middle of July 28.

The corona report of 7 councilors of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation came out positive, after which the Mayor K. Sreekumar went into self-quarantine on Friday. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of corona cases in Kerala is now 16,995, of which 9,379 are active cases. So far 54 have been known in the state.

For your information, let us tell you that the figure of corona infection infected in India has reached beyond thirteen lakhs. According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of active cases of corona infection in India has reached 456071. But, now there are more number of people who are healthy in India than active case of Corona. So far, 849431 people have become healthy by getting infected with corona infection. 31358 people have died due to corona infection. Significantly, if a state is affected the most by corona infection in India, then it is Maharashtra. Actually, the number of corona patients in Maharashtra has crossed three lakhs. After this, there are millions of corona patients in Delhi and Tamil Nadu.
