Tension on the border has increased after two Indian soldiers were martyred after a clash in the Indian territory of Galwan valley last night with Chinese soldiers. All this has happened at a time when China had called its jawans about one and a half km back from this area a few days ago. After these changed circumstances, high-level meetings are also going on in the center. The area in which this incident has taken place is very sensitive from a strategic point of view. Although this is not the first time that an infiltration action has been done on the Indian side from China, it has already done such an action.

Galwan region is at the highest in this entire area. It can be monitored for a long distance from here. Apart from this, that road can also be easily targeted from where the supply of Indian Army personnel and logistics is done. To its north is Daulat Baig Oldie Sector, which is an area within the Indian border and where there have been attempts to infiltrate from China earlier. It is located at a distance of about 102 km from here and the distance between here is fixed between 3-4 hours. Far away from this, India borders with China's Shijiang Province. To its south is Pangong Shaw, which is about 200 km away and this route is about 6-7 hours. Pangong Shaw is also one of the places where the Chinese soldiers have tried to infiltrate several times in the past. One part of Pangong Lake located here is in India and the other part comes in China. The distance from Galwan to Hot Panamik Hot Spring is also around 130 km. These three places are those which are very important from a strategic point of view.

India has recently constructed a road here. This was strongly opposed from the Chinese side. India had also made it clear, bypassing the opposition, that this area falls under the Indian border, so China's intervention in it will not be acceptable under any circumstances. The height of Galwan Valley makes this area strategically important. A short distance from Galwan begins from the area of Aksai Chin which has been illegally captured by China since 1962. Earlier it was under the Indian border. Indian border with China in this entire region is called the Line of Actual Control.
