Kurnool: District Collector P Koteswara Rao, while holding a review meeting with the concerned officials of the SC, ST, BC and Minorities Welfare Department at the conference hall here on Friday, said that almost all the students pursuing education in hostels come from poor background and their It requires proper care and attention. Students should feel that they are comfortable and safe in the hostel. They should not feel that they have been kept in the dungeon. Treat students as your own children.

It is the responsibility of the hostel authorities to mold the students to become good citizens, he said and appealed to the staff to provide quality education and moral values to the students. He directed the officials to create all necessary facilities in the hostel and serve delicious food without compromising on the quality. The officials will have to strictly follow the menu as directed by the state government.

He asked the officials to regularly interact with the students while having their meals in the morning and evening. The Collector also inquired about the number of students getting education in Kalyan hostels. The meeting was attended by SC Welfare DD Pratap Suryanarayan Reddy, CB Welfare Officer Venkata Lakshmi, DSWO Chintamani, Minority Welfare Officer Mehboob Basha, DTWO Ram and officials of SC, ST, BC and Minority Welfare departments.
