Bhopal: Today is the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Yes, it was on this day (October 2, 1869) that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born. He was a priest of non-violence and it was on this basis that he forced the British to leave India. Today, on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, several leaders including CM Shivraj have bowed down. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted: "On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the priest of non-violence, 1000 salutations to him, Gandhi's philosophy was the use of truth, which gave a new philosophy and principle to the world by making non-violence a weapon. Let us all resolve to imbibe Gandhi's thoughts and follow the path shown by him. Koti Koti Namaskar at the feet of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on Jayanti! The welfare of humanity is possible only by following the path of non-violence, peace and harmony shown by Bapu.''

Besides him, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has paid obeisance on the birth anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. He has written, "Gandhi's thoughts have always guided not only India but the whole world and will continue to do so. First, he will not pay attention to you, then he will laugh at you, then he will fight you and you will win. Shat-Shat Naman on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.''

At the same time, the MP Congress tweeted: "Greetings to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, who gave a message of love, humanity, peace and goodwill to the whole world on his 152nd birth anniversary. Bapu's birthday is celebrated as "International Day of Non-Violence" as a symbol of non-violence on the world stage. Greetings to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his birth anniversary.'' Many other leaders have bowed to Bapu in this way.
