New Delhi: India's labour and employment minister Bhupendra Yadav on Monday started the "Donate a Pension" programme under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan programme, which allows people to donate money to the pension fund of their support staff. This programme is called "Donate a Pension."

“Launched 'Donate-a-Pension' initiative at my residence by donating to the gardener. It is part of the (PM-SYM) pension plan, and citizens can donate the premium contribution of their immediate support staff, like housekeepers, drivers, and helpers, to the fund "the minister tweeted.

"It's called PM-SYM. People who work in the unorganised sector aged 18 to 40 can register and pay a fee each year, which ranges from 660 to 2400. After they reach the age of 60, they will get the minimum pension of Rs 3,000 a month " the minister said.

Iconic Week, which the Labour Ministry is commemorating from March 7 to 13, is a time for the Ministry to launch a lot of new things. The "Donate-a-Pension" programme, which was launched today, is one of them.

Celebrations of 25 million registrations under e-SHRAM and the launch of e-SHRAM on the UMANG app are part of these events. The National Career Service Centers will hold a job fair, drive for jobs, and set up placement-oriented camps in 65 places across India.
