New Delhi: With the investigation into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, politics has started. Meanwhile, a video is fast going viral on social video where a police officer is seen questioning an aide of the nephew of a former Congress MP. In the viral video, the police officer is taking his name, address and other information from the injured person. In the interrogation, the man revealed that he is a resident of Charbagh Lucknow and works with Ankit Das, nephew of Congress leader and former MP Akhilesh Das.

The official questioned who and how he was going on the day of the violence. On this, the man said that he was in a black Fortuner (SUV) car along with Ankit Das, three others and a driver. Police asked if Ankit Das was also present at the spot and whether the car belonged to him. The man answered yes to this question. The officer then inquired about another car that was moving ahead of Fortuner. The police asked, 'Whose car was next?' The man replied, "I don't know." The police officer asked the man to explain this openly and said, 'Will that (car) be together?' The man says, 'There was a Thar ahead, which hit people and there was a Fortuner behind.'

 

Thar was the same car that has been accused of being attacked with stones and sticks by a mob of farmers, the viral video also shows the glass of the car broken. It is also being said that the driver lost his balance on the car after the attack and the car went on crushing the crowd. It was later revealed that the driver of the car was also beaten to death by a mob of farmers. The police officer asked the man some more questions about Thar. In which the man said he did not know who was in the car. It belonged to 'Bhaiya' and the man was also with him. However, it is yet to be confirmed who the man was saying to 'Bhaiya' in the video. According to reports, police along with Ashish Mishra, son of minister Ajay Mishra, are on the lookout for Ankit Das. Ankit Das is said to be the nephew of former Congress MP Akhilesh Das, who was holding the steel ministry from January 2006 to May 2008 in Manmohan Singh's UPA-1 government. He has also been mayor of Lucknow from May 1993 to November 1996.
