Lucknow: The CBI special court will record the statement of former Home Minister LK Advani on Friday in the Babri demolition case. Advani will appear in court through video conferencing. His statement will be recorded under CRPC 313. Out of total 32, statements of 29 accused have been recorded. The CBI has prepared more than 1000 questions for Advani.

Earlier on Thursday, BJP veteran, Murli Manohar Joshi gets his statement recorded through video conferencing from Delhi before the CBI Special Court. He told the court that "He was innocent in the incident and he was not present at the time of the incident. This whole matter was motivated by politics and I had been framed in a wrong way". Along with this, Joshi had denied all the allegations of the CBI and had also called the statements of the witnesses false.

BJP veteran Murali Manohar Joshi told the court that the video cassette presented as evidence was tampered, while the cassette had been included in the investigation as part of the scheme. Along with this, he said that Kalyan Singh had reached the Ram Janmabhoomi site after becoming CM and he had not repeated his resolve to build the temple there. Joshi also rejected the news reports of the newspapers of that time. He told the court that he would present the evidence of his innocence when the time comes.
