Leh: Naib Subedar Mandeep Singh of Patiala is also among the soldiers of the country who received 'Veergati' in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. As soon as his family got the information, the whole area from home to the surrounding became inundated. The wife of martyr Mandeep Singh told the media that a few days ago she had talked to him in which he said that our army is standing against the Chinese as a wall.

Martyr Mandeep Singh's wife Gurdeep Kaur told that her husband wanted her children to grow up to become officers. Mandeep was admitted to the army in 1997, 23 years ago. He is survived by his wife Gurdeep Kaur, two children, and a mother. Father died many years ago. Naib Subedar Mandeep Singh's 15-year-old daughter Mehakpreet Kaur and 12-year-old son Jobanpreet Singh are in deep shock after the incident. Recently, Mandeep came home on leave. Gurdeep Kaur said that she had spoken 10 days ago. Mandeep had told about the current situation in Galvan Valley. He had said that his army wall is standing in front of the army of the enemy country.

There was a clash between the soldiers of China and India on the night of 15-16 June near Galvan Valley. 20 soldiers of India have died in this incident. According to the news agency ANI, there have been more than 40 casualties in China, including the death of a commanding officer.
